DIRECTOR OF BOCA RATON, FL
My name is Marlie Friedman, I am currently a sophomore at Spanish River High School and I am 15 years old. When I found this amazing platform to bring parents with young kids to talented high school students, I knew I had to bring it to my town so that kids here can experience one on one lessons and assistance on the things they want to improve upon. Talenthood is a creative and efficient way to connect teenagers and high school students to younger kids and form bonds, create memories, and specifically assist the children to make them more passionate and more skilled at the task they are trying to enhance. It is not always easy to find people, especially teenagers, who are willing and dedicated to helping children, and once I saw that there was a way to do it all within minutes, I knew I wanted to be a part of it. In my personal life I have been dancing since I was very young and recently joined my schools dance team so I am familiar with teamwork and hard work. I am a part of the student council leadership team at my school and pride myself on being a part of extracurriculars and academics at my school. Additionally, I run a charity on the side called Blessings in a Backpack that creates “backpacks” of food to give to underprivileged elementary school students who can only afford to eat on the weekdays due to their school’s providing. I cannot wait to work with kids and local families to help kids educate themselves with the help of determined and talented instructors.
